Here at South Shore Dental Care in Massapequa, we’ve got big news to share with our patients. Dr. Dory Stutman has passed the last clinical exam needed to become accredited in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (the AACD)! While he still has an oral exam to take before his accreditation is made official, this is big news.
What does that mean, exactly?
Accreditation by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is an important goal for a cosmetic dentist. For one, it shows that he or she has the skills, expertise, and dedication needed to provide his patients with the best care available. In addition, the AACD provides its members with many opportunities to further their dental education, from conferences to an online journal to several opportunities for virtual learning. In the ever-evolving world of dental techniques and procedures, keeping up-to-date with new information is key. Now, Dr. Stutman will have new and more easily available resources open to him, allowing him to continually update his service for you, his patients.
Plus, it isn’t an easy group to become a part of, by any means. In all of Long Island, only three other dentists besides Dr. Stutman are AACD accredited, out of well over 500 practices in business today. In Nassau county, that number narrows down to only one other dentist. Pretty impressive, right?
Congratulations to Dr. Stutman for his accomplishment! Here at South Shore Dental Care in Massapequa, we’d like to remind you that we offer expert cosmetic dental services along with top-notch orthodontic treatment. With the husband-wife team of Drs. Dory and Khalida Stutman, patients will have essentially two dentists consulting on their treatment, resulting in a quicker turnaround time for treatments such as veneers, enamel shaping, and bonding.
